Overhaul

A complete overhaul involves much more than simply cleaning the exterior of the watch. The movement must be carefully inspected, serviced, lubricated, reassembled, and tested.
What Does a Proper Overhaul Include?
- The watch is carefully disassembled so that the movement and individual components can be properly inspected. Parts are cleaned and degreased, and components showing excessive wear can be identified for replacement when necessary.
- During reassembly, appropriate high-quality lubricants and oils are applied to the necessary moving components to help reduce friction and protect the movement.
